The Prince George Child Development Centre (CDC) is sending two lucky people to Disneyworld and buying specialized equipment for kids in need while doing it.
That is thanks to their recent fundraiser raffle for flights and passes to Disneyworld – or anywhere WestJet normally flies – and $3,850, which brought in over $14,000 for the organization.
“It is going to provide us the ability to buy additional equipment for our equipment loan program,” Darrell Roze, the Executive Director of the CDC, told My PG Now. “That allows families to try equipment before buying it and kids to get it early. It will be really well utilized.”
He explained the price tags on most of these specialized equipment items are very high, ranging from $5,000 to $20,000.
Sarah Kohler won the Thursday draw.
Roze mentioned the CDC also plans to host a 50/50 raffle in the fall.
