Lots to do outside in Prince George this weekend

Today marks the start of another busy weekend in Prince George.

Here are a few things to do in the next few days:

National Indigenous People’s Day

An eventful day is planned at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park this afternoon (Friday) from 12:00 – 8:00.

It will include Indigenous musicians, drummers, dancers, activities for all ages, and interactive information displays with community partners.

Goodsir Nature Park’s 35th Anniversary Celebration

The Goodsir Nature Park is celebrating a major milestone this weekend.

Celebrations will be held tonight and tomorrow at 7:00. Steve Baker and Dean Chandler will perform live for guests over the two night span.

PGARA Races

All local classes will hit the speedway tomorrow night, time trials start at 6:00 and races begin at 7:00.

Move to Cure ALS

The annual ALS walk is being held in Prince George on Sunday morning at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park.

Registration is at 10:00, the walk begins at 11:00.

All money raised goes to support ALS research and patient care.

Leeland Klassen comedy show

Klassen has appeared on Just For Laughs, Comedy Network, CBC, and Netflix. He is in Prince George at the Lakewood Alliance Church on Sunday night from 6:30 – 8:30.

Kris Yip Memorial Fondo

While registration for the ride itself is now closed, the public is being welcomed to the Canada Games Plaza from 11:00 – 3:00 on Saturday to encourage the riders, check out food trucks and vendors, and meet the Cops for Cancer Tour de North team.
