Feasibility of new pathway to be looked at in Hart area of PG

Hart residents in Prince George could soon benefit from a new multi-use pathway along Highway 97.

According to the province, engineering to determine the feasibility of the new pathway between the Cameron Street Bridge and Northwood Road intersection is being looked at.

“When people have the opportunity to use safe, efficient and affordable travel options, they take it,” said Rob Fleming, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure.

“That’s why we’re building overpasses, trail networks and bike lanes that will give a new generation new ways to travel within and between their communities.”

A multi-use pathway would connect the Hart residential neighborhood with services and amenities located downtown.

It’s all part of an 85-million dollar investment from the BC government to improve the efficiency of transportation networks in nine communities leading to more direct connections to schools, employment and recreation.
