Prince George RCMP seize drugs, cash and more during second investigation in a month at Nicholson Street property

Drugs, firearms and drug trafficking paraphernalia were seized as the Prince George RCMP executed a search warrant on the 300-block of Nicholson Street.

On Monday, May 27th, Mounties executed the search warrant at a residence.

According to police, one person at the residence was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants and was held in custody until he could attend court.

He was subsequently released on a release order with conditions.

Mounties arrested two more people and they were later released without process, as any potential charges related to the drugs seized are pending further laboratory analysis and are subject to approval by the Public Prosecution Service of Canada.

Police say 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 60 grams of suspected fentanyl, four replica firearms, ammunition, $2,000 in cash, and other drug trafficking paraphernalia were seized from inside the residence.

The investigation remains ongoing.

“This represents significant enforcement action taken against those trafficking drugs in our community,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

“It was the second time in May that a search warrant was executed at this residence in relation to suspected criminal behaviour.”

Last month, the Prince George RCMP reported multiple people were arrested after police found a stolen vehicle on a property on the 300 block of Nicholson Street.

In that incident, the primary suspect was taken into custody, then released on an undertaking with attached conditions. Everyone else in the house was released on the scene.

Cooper confirmed many of the people involved in the most recent search warrant were the same suspects as the previous investigation.

Police noted it was not the first time stolen vehicles had been located at the residence.
