A local early childhood educator and equestrian has combined her passions and released a new children’s book.
Dustie Hall, the author of Miracle Milton and his Magic Legs, said the story is inspired by a real horse born with crooked legs.
“He has such a spice for life, he loves to do things, has the best energy, and has an outlook on life that a lot of people an animals should have,” Hall explained.
She said the book’s message to kids is that they can do anything they set their minds to, regardless of obstacles in their way.
“Reach for the stars, fulfil your dreams, do the things you set your mind to,” Hall said – adding she had been working on the book for four and a half years before self-publishing.
Hall said she hopes to hold an official book signing and launch at Books & Company next month.
“It is a journey of self-love, positivity, and not letting a discouraging thing stop you,” she said.
