The Prince George Native Friendship Centre and the RBC Foundation are hosting a Back to School Celebration tomorrow.
Executive Director, Barbara Ward-Burkitt says a lot will be happening.
“700 backpacks will be allocated for K-12 students, in addition we have free haircuts, clothing exchange for school clothing and face painting.”
Ward-Burkitt says the event is designed to build confidence heading into the year.
“It will build momentum and excitement about going back to school and we believe it will help to maintain kids in the school system.
The event will take place from 11 to 2pm at the Native Friendship Centre and will feature lunch from the Smokehouse on the Run Food Trailer.
