7 walkers have been making their way across the country, all in support of missing and murdered aboriginals.
The group left Norway House Manitoba on July 18th and have made their way East en route to Prince Rupert.
Brenda Osbourne is one of the walkers, and says its been an arduous journey:
“A lot of blisters and aches and pains on your legs and its cramping and there is a lot of things, and sometimes you don’t feel like eating and its overwhelming.”
However, she says its all worth it to advocate for those who no longer have a voice.
The group is looking to raise funds to promote awareness for missing and murdered aboriginal women, and make a call to the government that positive change is needed.
They will be arriving in PG over the weekend, before their scheduled arrival in Prince Rupert on September the 5th – a distance of nearly 2800 km.
