After the Canada Winter Games saw 10,000 visitors and $20 million in capital investment come to the city, Council will decide this evening whether of not to bid on the 2020 BC Summer games.
Also on the agenda; building on the Smoke-Free Winter Games Initiative, and the Smoke-Free Centennial project, Council will discuss enhancing outdoor smoking and vaping bylaws.
On a related note, PG Air will be in the building to talk about strategies to improve air quality in the city.
The loaded agenda also includes a debate on banning parking on arterial roads to keep bike lanes clear, and a request to install a centre barrier on a section of Highway 97 between the John Hart Bridge and Hoferkamp Road.
The meeting starts it Council Chambers at 6:00PM.
