Mayor Yu’s Standing Committee on Public Safety to meet for first time on May 21st

Prince George Mayor Simon Yu has his Standing Committee on Public Safety.

According to a report going before City Council tomorrow (Monday), the committee will consist of Yu, City Councillors Brian Skakun, Trudy Klassen and Ron Polillo, as well as Robert Gagnon, Miranda Seymour, and John Zukowski.

The Committee’s first meeting is scheduled for May 21st at 2:00 pm at City Hall.

According to the Standing Committee’s Terms of Reference, “the purpose of the Committee is to undertake observation and collection on crime statistics and to explore solutions through tested best practices learned from local and other jurisdictions in order to address public safety issues facing downtown Prince George including the area east of Queensway.”
