A Prince George boy who was airlifted to BC Children’s hospital after being struck by a vehicle near the Hart Highlands Winter Club is on the road to recovery.
According to the youth’s Go Fund Me Page, Jaxon underwent surgery to repair his femur.
The surgery involved utilizing rods and pins to stabilize it.
However, another operation will be required in 7-9 months to remove the hardware.
During his stay at the Children’s Hospital, Jaxson will also receive physiotherapy.
Yesterday (Thursday), the Prince George RCMP stated no criminality is suspected and the investigation is now closed into the matter after the incident occurred on the 36-hundred block of Winslow Drive on Tuesday.
Police added the driver fully cooperated with the investigation.
So far, 22-thousand dollars has been raised to help cover accommodations, meals, and lost income as they focus on Jaxson’s care and recovery.
