NDP candidate will be declared tonight

The NDP will declare a candidate for the Cariboo-Prince George riding tonight.

A preferential vote started in Williams Lake and Quesnel earlier this weekend, and will wrap up at the United Steelworkers Office tonight.

After Prince George members vote, the ballots will be tallied and the winner will be declared at a nomination meeting.

The candidates are Debora Munoz, Trent Derrick, and Laura Zimmerman.

The other declared candidates in the riding are Conservative Todd Doherty, the Liberal’s Tracy Calogheros, Richard Jacques of the Green Party, the Christian Heritage Party’s Adam de Kroon, and independent Sheldon Clare.
