The City of Prince George is encouraging residents to attend the final community open house events for the Official Community Plan Review.

The City is in the third phase of the OCP review process, which is focused on policy development.

This phase will include opportunities for community members and interested parties to provide their input.

The open houses will take place tonight (Tuesday) and tomorrow  (Wednesday) at the House of Ancestors from 4:30 to 8:00 pm.

“These final open house sessions will delve into the OCP details at a more granular level than previous events,” said Supervior of Land Use Planning Kaly Holahan.

“I encourage those who attended the initial open house last October to region the consersation at the April 9 or 10 events to learn more about our progress and to offer your perspective for the drafting of OCP policy.”

The new OCP will guide growth and development through to 2050.

The review process started in September, and drafting of the new OCP will continue until August.

Final OCP review and approval are expected by the end of the year.
