A local fundraiser for a new SPCA building will be able to go ahead, now that a special events license has been approved.
Thursday’s RDFFG meeting saw board approval of that license, meaning PG’s “Woofstock” will be able to proceed on August 27th through the 31st, barring a few conditions.
Organizer Jordal Corrigal says they were cutting it close, yet working with the District they were able to come to an agreement:
“…everybody’s been very helpful, it’s something that hasn’t happened in Prince George for quite a long time and so everybody was fairly rushed on some of the protocols that should have been going. But we’ve got everything on lock, so it’s good”
Woofstock must still see a handful of conditions met by Monday, including fire safety, security, and medical plans.
However, Corrigal says those outstanding items will see scheduled meetings with the RCMP and fire department and he doesn’t foresee any issues.
Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
