According to the Ducks, the contract kicks in at the start of the next season.
Because Myatovic’s Seattle Thunderbirds did not make the WHL playoffs, he will be heading down to San Diego to join the Gulls, Anaheim’s AHL affiliate, for the remainder of their season.
Myatovic had 30 points in 34 games with Seattle this season, missing the majority of the year to injury.
The season prior he was a part of the uber-stacked Seattle Thunderbirds who went 16-3 in the WHL playoffs and finished second at the Memorial Cup final.
He racked up 60 points and a +48 rating with the birds that season, and had 7 more points in the playoffs.
