The Beaverly Volunteer Fire Department has donated a fire truck to the Cluculz Lake Volunteer Fire Department.
Fire Chief, Gail Poisson says the donated truck will give them a head start on building a hall.
“Funds it’s going to free up will allow us to build a new hall for our fire department, right now we have a fall that is 20 feet by 30 feet and it houses one of our pumper trucks and it touches the wall on three sides.”
Poisson explains the importance of having an operating tender truck.
“The tender truck is used to carry water back and forth from a water source to a fire scene and we have been without that for a good year now.”
Both volunteer fire halls have been discussing the matter since attending a convention in Prince George.
