Weekend weather: the end of Summer?

Environment Canada isn’t saying summer is over JUST yet, but with cooler temperatures ever apparent – the end is nigh.

Meteorologist Lisa Coldwells says this weekend will see slightly lower than average temperatures of around 20 degrees, with overnight lows on Friday falling to single digits:

“The days are getting noticeably shorter, at the end of August you get used to sort of that nip in the air. Especially when the overnight temperatures go down towards two degrees.”

However, Coldwells says very little rain is expected Saturday and Sunday with a mix of sun and cloud and a 20 degree average.

She says next week will consist of much the same, temperatures hovering just a little lower than the 22 degree average for this time of year with mixed sun and cloud and a chance of showers at the end of the week.
