WHL:
This is the second last weekend of the WHL regular season.
The Prince George Cougars, riding a club-record-tying 14-game point streak, have three road games in as many days.
They visit the (28-27-5-4) Victoria Royals tonight (Friday) and Saturday before they head to Langley to face the (30-29-4) Vancouver Giants on Sunday.
The Cougars are coming off of Wednesday’s dramatic 6-5 overtime victory over the Kelowna Rockets.

The (44-15-1-3) Cougars are in first place in the Western Conference, one point ahead of the (44-15-2-1) Portland Winterhawks.

BCHL:
The Prince George Spruce Kings, with just six regular season games left, host the (19-24-4-1) Merritt Centennials tonight at 7:00 and Saturday night at 6:00.
The Spruce Kings Alumni Game is set for Saturday afternoon at 2:45 at the Kopar Memorial Arena.
The (14-31-3) Spruce Kings, who have lost four straight and 10 of their last 11, are last in the 8-team Interior Division and will likely meet the first-place Penticton Vees in the first round of the playoffs.

The U18 Cariboo Cougars are in Burnaby to play the Vancouver North East Chiefs in the best-of-three BC Elite Hockey League semifinals.
Game times are 3:00 this afternoon (Friday), 3:15 PM Saturday and if necessary 10:30 AM Sunday.

The (42-17-8) Vancouver Canucks continue a whopping 9-game homestand Saturday night at 7:00 against the (31-25-9) Washington Capitals.
The Caps beat the Seattle Kraken 2-1 on Thursday night.
The Canucks are coming off Wednesday’s 4-3 overtime loss to the Colorado Avalanche.
There are just two NHL games tonight (Friday): Anaheim at Winnipeg and LA at Chicago.

Para Biathlon:
The Para Nordic World Cup Finals wrap up at the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club.
Canada has two gold, a silver and a bronze in this week’s event which continues on Saturday at 10 AM with the 1.2 km freestyle sprints and concludes on Sunday with the 20 km classic mass start.
Mark Arendz of PEI captured gold for Canada on Wednesday in the 10k Middle and added a bronze on Thursday in the 5km Individual Start Classic.
Arendz now has six medals, including four gold since, arriving in P.G. this month.
Last week, he earned three gold and a bronze at the Para Biathlon World Championships in Prince George.
Derek Zaplotinsky of Smoky Lake, Alta. took gold on Thursday in the 5km individual classic start.
Natalie Wilkie of Salmon Arm captured silver in the 5km Individual Start Classic.
