Prince George City Council will be discussing the possibility of an “Advocacy Delegation” at tomorrow’s (Monday) meeting.
According to a report going before City Council, Council’s Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs has expressed an interested in conducting a “City of Prince George Advocacy Week” style event in Victoria.
This would be done to advocate for items raised by Prince George in recent years.
According to the report, the intention is to have this take place in the first half of this year.
The proposed delegation would be made up of the four Council members sitting on the Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs (Frizzell, Sampson, Scott, and Skakun), and one staff support person.
The expenses for the delegation over a three-day period is estimated at under $10,000.
Other items to be discussed at tomorrow’s meeting include a year-in-review report from the Prince George RCMP, and fourth-quarter expense summaries for Prince George City Council.
