Ondrej Becher and Zac Funk scored twice and added an assist each as the Cougars built up a 4-1 lead just eight minutes into the game in front of a hometown crowd of 4,486.
Funk has a league-leading and team-record 63 goals in 62 games this season.
The 20-year-old Funk sits with 109 points, just three shy of the team record of 112 set by Quinn Hancock in the 1997-98 season.

The (43-15-1-3) Cougars play their next five games on the road starting Wednesday in Kelowna against the (31-28-3-1) Rockets.
Prince George is riding a 13-game point streak (11-0-1-1) and Kelowna is on an 8-game point streak (7-0-0-1).
The Rockets are 5th in the Western Conference, two points behind Wenatchee and one point in front of Victoria.
The Cougars are 1st in the Western Conference, one point ahead of the (43-15-2-1) Portland Winterhawks.
P.G. has six games left and Portland has seven remaining.

Vancouver Canucks goalie Thatcher Demko is expected to miss a few games over the next two-to-three weeks due to an undisclosed injury.
He was injured during Saturday’s 5-0 victory over Winnipeg.
The 28-year-old Demko has an NHL-leading 34 wins, to go along with a 2.47 goals-against average, a .917 save percentage and five shutouts.
The (42-17-7) Canucks continue a whopping 9-game homestand Wednesday night at 7:30 against the Colorado Avalanche.

Curling:
Team Canada’s Brad Gushue has won a record-tying six national men’s curling championships, including three in a row.
Gushue and his rink from St. John’s, N.L. beat Saskatchewan’s Mike McEwen 9-5 in the final of the 2024 Montana’s Brier in Regina.
Saskatchewan knocked out Alberta (Brendan Bottcher) 7-3 in the semifinal.
The 43-year-old Gushue will represent Canada at the 2024 World Men’s Curling Championship on March 30-April 7 in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.

High School Basketball:
The BC School Sports Boys Basketball Provincial Championships were held at the Langley Events Centre.
16 teams competed in each of the four tournaments.
PGSS placed 12th (1-3 record) in 4A.
College Heights ended up 14th (1-3 record) in 3A.
Nechako Valley finished 16th (0-4 record) in 2A.
Cedars Christian ended up 13th (2-2 record), Fort St. James 15th (1-3 record) and McBride 16th (0-4 record) in 1A.

Nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson plans to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers according to multiple media sources.
It is a one-year deal in which the Denver Broncos will wind up paying $38 million of his salary.
Para Biathlon:
The Para Biathlon World Championships are taking place at the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club.
There are 185 athletes from 20 countries participating over the 12 days of competition.
