The UNBC Women’s soccer team added some grit from south of the border to the mix for the upcoming season.
Alaskan fullback Blake Plummer has committed to the T-Wolves by way of Peninsula College in Port Angeles, Washington.
“All the girls were welcoming, and everyone has been super nice. Prince George is really similar to home, so it makes it easier,” says Plummer who visited the UNBC campus in February of this year. “I play fullback, so lots of work on both sides of the ball and running up and down the sideline. I’d like to think of myself as a pretty competitive person. I’m gritty. I like to win the ball back and play it forward.”
Plummer, is from the Juneau-Douglas High School program and appeared in 29 games over the past two seasons with the NWAC’s Peninsula Pirates. They started in 16 games and tallied two goals and two assists while adding six shots on goal.
“The last two years at Peninsula College have prepared me for the speed of play and the physicality [of Canada West], but I think I will fit in well [with the team],” remarks Plummer.
