BCNE Fall Fair in PG another success

The B.C. Northern Exhibition’s Fall Fair has wrapped up for another year.

President, Alex Huber says the return of a popular event was one of the highlights.

“The rodeo was probably the highlight of the fair this year it was so well received because we have not had one in 12 years, the stands were packed and then Sunday morning I grabbed my maintenance crew and the bleachers for motocross and brought them over to the rodeo and it was still packed.”

Huber adds they will have to fine tune the rodeo for next year.

“The rodeo needs to be expanded somehow we had some many riders there was not enough time for everybody to participate we actually had an overflow Sunday morning it started at 8am with riders not being able to compete Saturday or Sunday, so I think we’ll be adding a third day of rodeo.”

All staff members will take a week off before they start planning for next year’s fair.

The Spring Fair in Prince George is slated for May.

Huber says he was very pleased with the Northern Taste Market featuring Bob Blumer and the Motocross with riders flying in from as far as Texas.
