The Timberwolves advance to the Canada West Final Four for the first time in program history.
They will next play the top-ranked Victoria Vikes on Saturday at 4 PM.
The winner plays for gold and the loser plays for bronze on Sunday.
The other semi has the Winnipeg Wesmen against the Calgary Dinos.

UNBC won its first-round playoff game on Wednesday, 86-76 over the UBC Thunderbirds.

WHL:
The (38-15-0-3) Prince George Cougars, riding a 7-game point streak, visit the (18-31-3-2) Kamloops Blazers tonight (Friday) and the (25-28-3) Kelowna Rockets on Saturday.
The Cougars, with a dozen regular season games to go, are in the 1st place in the Western Conference, a point ahead of the (37-18-2-2) Everett Silvertips and two in front of the (37-14-2-1) Portland Winterhawks.
P.G. sniper Zac Funk leads the WHL in goals with 53 which is one shy of the PG Cougars team record of 54 set by Quinn Hancock in the 1997-98 season.
The 20-year-old Funk and teammate Riley Heidt are tied for 2nd in the WHL scoring lead with 95 points.

The (13-26-3) Prince George Spruce Kings will try to end a five-game losing streak when they host the (25-16-1) Vernon Vipers tonight at 7:00 and Saturday night at 6:00.
With 12 regular season games remaining, the Spruce Kings are last in the 8-team Interior Division, seven points behind the (16-22-3-1) Merritt Centennials.

BC Elite Hockey League:
The U18 Cariboo Cougars visit the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds to conclude their regular season in the BC Elite Hockey League.
The two teams battle Saturday night at 5:30 and Sunday at noon in Abbotsford.
The (26-6-2) U18 Cougars, who have won six straight, are in third place, six points behind the (28-4-2-2) Vancouver North East Chiefs and three points back of the (28-5-1) Thunderbirds.
