Site C, skate parks, and bike lanes: Aug.17 Council Preview

While City Council is moving forward with plans for a new Skate park in the Hart, it could be a long time before construction breaks ground.

Darren Fitzpatrick Bravery Park has been identified as the ideal spot for the park, and the city is now looking for potential designs.

Two workshops will be set up for early September and October, with the final design submission slated for early November.

With construction on Site C underway and PG contractors in on the work, City Council will hear an update on the work from BC Hyrdo Officials at tonight’s council meeting.

A PG contractor was hired to work on access road near Fort St. John, and work is expected to pick up in the coming weeks.

Council will also discuss potentially barring vehicles from parking on arterial roads, as bike paths are being blocked.

The meeting starts at 6.
