The Family Day long weekend forecast will be right around the seasonal normal – something abnormal for this winter of extremes.
“It is pretty quiet this weekend,” Environment Canada Meteorologist Alyssa Charbonneau told My PG Now. “We are going to see temperatures warm up from what we are seeing right now, but still a little bit colder than normal.”
She said there will also be clouds and a small chance of snow on Sunday and Monday, but nothing “significant.”
As next week starts, daytime highs will climb just above the negatives and overnight lows will remain around -10.
“What is exceptional about this week is that it is not exceptional,” she said. “We have been having a lot of big swings, we are in a calmer pattern right now.”
