Four people have been killed after a multi-vehicle pileup on Highway 16 last night.
Around 10:48pm on Friday, officials believe an eastbound pick-up truck collided with multiple oncoming vehicles, including another truck.
The male driver of the eastbound truck, and two men and a women in the second truck, died in the collision.
15 other people were injured in the five-vehicle pileup, and are being treated at different hospitals throughout the area.
Highway 16 re-opened around 9:00am this morning, but traffic is reported to be quite dense and moving slowly.
Jasper RCMP and an RCMP collision analyst are working on-scene.
They are trying to determine whether speed, alcohol, and weather were factors in the accident, but the amount of damage is making progress difficult.
Names and ages of the deceased are not being released.
