Gas prices in Prince George are up, and it appears this is the case Province wide.
Senior GasBuddy Analyst Dan McTeague says while PG tends to be one of the most competitive markets for gasoline, the average price at the pump shot from a $1.14 to over $1.27 almost overnight:
“…and thats because there has been a thirteen and possibly even a fifteen cents a litre wholesale price increase and that has meant of course that prices are going right through the roof.”
McTague says the BP refinery in Indiana has temporarily gone down, and mentioned that prices are attributed to this.
As the plant produces the largest amount of gasoline into the U.S. upper Mid-West market and is a vital determinant of prices in BC.
