On January 27th, the Mounties took home the trophy this year, beating out the firefighters 4-3 in a shoot-out.

“While we are thrilled to have won the round this year, the real focus of the game is raising money for two great charities: Cops for Cancer Tour de North and the Prince George Firefighters Charitable Society. We are all very glad to be able to give back to the communities we serve in such a fun and positive way, while engaging in a little friendly competition at the same time. In total, $6000 was raised and will be divided between the two charities, stated Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

Prince George Fire Chief Warner donned the winning jersey and made a donation of his own toward the RCMP’s chosen charity.

Last year (2023), $1,775 was raised for both the RCMP Victim Services Unit and the Fire Fighters Charitable Society.
