WHL:
The Prince George Cougars have a busy weekend with three road games in three days south of the border.
The Cougars visit the (16-21-4) Spokane Chiefs tonight (Friday) to begin a 5-game road trip.
They will also visit (17-24-2-1) Tri-City on Saturday and (26-15-4) Wenatchee on Sunday.
The (30-13-0-1) Cougars are 2nd in the Western Conference, two points behind the (30-14-1-2) Everett Silvertips, although Prince George has three games in hand.

BCHL:
The Prince George Spruce Kings host the (22-10-0-2) Salmon Arm Silverbacks tonight at 7:00 and Saturday night at 6:00.
The (12-18-3) Spruce Kings are last in the 8-team Interior Division but are just a point behind the 7th-place (12-18-3-1) Merritt Centennials and three back of the (14-20-2) Cranbrook Bucks.
The Silverbacks are 3rd.

BC Elite Hockey League:
The U18 Cariboo Cariboo will visit the (12-13-0-1) Vancouver North West Hawks Saturday night at 6:15 and Sunday afternoon at 12:15 on the Lower Mainland in the BC Elite Hockey League.
The (20-6-2) U18 Cougars are in second place, two points behind the (20-4-2-2) Vancouver North East Chiefs and one point ahead of the (20-5-1) Fraser Valley Thunderbirds.
The Hawks are 6th out of 9 teams.

The (32-11-5) Vancouver Canucks conclude a 5-game homestand Saturday night at 7:00 against the (15-23-9) Columbus Blue Jackets.
The Canucks are tied with the (30-9-9) Boston Bruins for first in the NHL overall standings and Vancouver has a league-best +58 goal differential.

The UNBC Timberwolves are in Kamloops to play the TRU WolfPack tonight and Saturday in Canada West basketball.

Ringette:
A handful of Prince George ringette players have been selected for Team BC.
Molli Stonehouse has been named to the provincial U14 blue squad while Jaya Paulsen is an alternate.
In addition, Tessa Howse was selected for BC’s U14 red team while Merin Wilson was also named as an alternate.
The players will participate in two upcoming tournaments, ending with the Western Canadians.
PG hosts the Provincial Zones Tournament March 1st to 3rd from the Kin and Elkscentre arenas.

NFL:
The NFL Conference Finals Sunday have Kansas City at Baltimore (Noon) in the AFC followed by Detroit at San Francisco (3:30) in the NFC.
The Ravens are favoured by 4 1/2 over the Chiefs while the 49ers are favoured by 7 1/2 over the Lions.
The winners meet in Las Vegas in the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 11th.

The (16-28) Toronto Raptors, who have lost seven of their last eight games, host the (28-14) LA Clippers tonight (Friday 4:30).
