Housing Starts in Prince George appear to be maintaining their upwards trend.
There were 18 Starts in PG in July, up from the 11 that were seen at the same point last year.
Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporations Taylor Pardy says other numbers have also grown in Prince George:
“Year to date MLS sales have increased by 4% so far in 2015, relative to the same period last year. The year to date average price is also up 4.8% in Prince George.”
He says that strength, coupled with the strength of the re-sale market in town, is definitely the driving factor behind the rise in start numbers.
In the month of July, the average cost of a home in Prince George was just over $291,000.
