Hospice 50/50 sees Prince George man win $250,000

Colby Edwards of Prince George has a quarter of a million reasons to smile.

Edwards was the big winner of the Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society’s 50/50 draw, which netted him $250,000.

Hospice Executive Director Donna Flood said the proceeds from the draw benefit their Hospice at Home Program.

“It is designed specifically to support people to stay at home and die at home if that’s what they wish,” she explained.

“We’re finding more and more people choose to be at home, so this way we’re able to bring the same care and compassion that we provide at the Rotary Hospice House to people in their homes.”

This is the third big draw for Hospice, as they had their $150,000 lotto in September, as well as the Dream Home Lottery in December.
