WHL:

The (28-12) Prince George Cougars begin a 4-game homestand Friday and Saturday against the (18-17-2) Kelowna Rockets.

The Cougars are in first place in the WHL Western Conference, four points ahead of the (25-10-1-1) Portland Winterhawks (with Portland holding three games in hand).

The Rockets are 6th out of 11 teams in the Western Conference.

BCHL: 

The (11-17-3) Prince George Spruce Kings visit the (16-13-1) Chilliwack Chiefs Friday night at 7:00 and the (13-12-6) Trail Smoke Eaters Sunday afternoon at 3:00 before hosting the (20-9-0-2) Salmon Arm Silverbacks on Jan. 26th and 27th.

The Spruce Kings are last in the 8-team Interior Division but are just a point behind the 7th-place (11-16-3-1) Merritt Centennials and five back of the (14-18-2) Cranbrook Bucks.

BC Elite Hockey League: 

The (18-5-1) U18 Cariboo Cougars visit the (19-3-0-2) Vancouver North East Chiefs on Saturday (3:30 PM) and Sunday (10:45 AM) in Burnaby in the BC Elite Hockey League.

Cariboo is in second place in the 9-team BC Elite Hockey League, three points behind the North East Chiefs and just a point ahead of the (18-4) Fraser Valley Thunderbirds.

Canada West basketball:

The UNBC Timberwolves visit the Regina Cougars on Friday and Saturday nights in Canada West basketball.

The Monday Night game will feature Philadelphia at Tampa Bay (5:15).
