Prince George Cougars 9 Vancouver Giants 2 (Saturday)
Riley Heidt scored twice and added an assist to give him eight points in two-weekend games.
Zac Funk notched his league-leading 36th goal (in just 32 games) and added three assists to give him eight points in a pair of weekend games.
Funk and Heidt are the leading scorers in the WHL, both with 63 points.
Hudson Thornton had a goal and two assists to become the Cougars’ all-time leading scorer among defensemen.

Prince George Cougars 6 Wenatchee Wild 3 (Friday)
Zac Funk had his 5th hat trick of the season and finished with three goals and an assist while Riley Heidt racked up five assists.

The (24-9) Cougars have now entered their holiday break. They resume action on Wednesday, Dec 27th when they host the Edmonton Oil Kings.
Prince George is in first place in the Western Conference and tied with the (23-8-2) Saskatoon Blades for top spot in the entire WHL.

Prince George Spruce Kings 3 Trail Smoke Eaters 0 (Saturday)
Charlie Zolin made 35 saves for the shutout in front of 1,056 fans in PG.

The Smokies scored four consecutive goals in the 3rd period to erase a 6-4 deficit before a standing-room-only crowd of 2,019 fans at the Kopar Memorial Arena.

The (9-15-3) Spruce Kings are idle until they host the (19-6-3) West Kelowna Warriors on Dec. 29th and 30th.
The Spruce Kings are last in the 8-team Interior Division, five points behind the 7th place (11-13-3-1) Merritt Centennials and six back of the (13-15-1) Cranbrook Bucks.
The Warriors are 2nd, just three points back of the (19-6-3) Penticton Vees.
