PG’s first true blast of winter is right around the corner.
Environment Canada stated between five to 10 centimetres of snow is in the forecast with a high of minus three degrees.
Meteorologist, Derek Lee spoke with MyPGNow.com.
“The snow should be beginning tomorrow morning and ending during the evening with a total of five to ten centimetres possible. Coinciding, we have some gusty ideas, which can lead to drifting or blowing snow as it falls.”
“Heavy snow can make roads slippery and combined with blowing snow, visibility can be poor throughout the day.”
Lee expects the snow to stick around for a while as Sunday’s daytime high is only expected to reach plus two. He added temperatures will be a little bit colder as we head towards the middle of next week.
“We will likely trend into a period of a mix of sun and cloud but the temperatures are going to be in the near freezing mark. We will watch for the temperatures over the next little bit as we have the potential to get even colder,” added Lee.
