BC Day Long weekend typically a busy one for ICBC

ICBC is warning drivers to remain vigilant this upcoming long weekend.

Spokesperson Mark Milner says this weekend sees 28 people injured in 110 crashes in the North Central region, and explains how RV drivers can help keep that number down:

“If you’re driving the RV this weekend be courteous and if you are able to safely pull over and let people pass you, that will help everybody.”

The RCMP will also be out in force with increased roadchecks, and Milner says on average at least 50 crashes are caused by impaired driving over this weekend alone.

Heightened road activity also means more motorcycles are on BC roads, and Milner says its vital that you scan an intersection for them, especially while turning left.

Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
