WHL:

The (17-6) Prince George Cougars host the (16-9-1) Everett Silvertips tonight (Monday) and Tuesday at 7:00.

The Silvertips had a good weekend winning 6-3 at home Friday against Portland and 4-3 on the road Saturday in Kamloops.

Prince George is coming off Friday’s 6-4 victory over the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

This is the start of five consecutive games this week for the Cougars against U.S. Division teams.

They will also visit Tri-City on Friday, Spokane on Saturday and Portland on Sunday.

The Cougars lead the Western Conference standings while the Silvertips are just a point back of P.G. although Everett has played three more games.

The PG Cougars have traded goalie Madden Mulawka to the Regina Pats for a 7th-round
pick in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft.

The 17-year-old appeared in three games for the Cougars during the 2022-23 season.

Prince George selected Mulawka in the 5th round of the 2021 Prospects Draft.

The (6-11-3) Spruce Kings host the (7-14-1) Langley Rivermen on Wednesday night at 7:00.

The Spruce Kings are last in the 8-team Interior Division, two points behind Cranbrook with two games in hand.

The Rivermen are 7th out of nine in the Coastal Division.

The U18 Cougars are in second place and the Thunderbirds are third in the 9-team league.
