The Spruce Kings’ struggles to start the season continue, as they fell 4-2 to the Salmon Arm Silverbacks last night.
The Spruce Kings jumped out to a 2-1 in the first period courtesy of Brogan McNeil and Quinn Disher, each scoring their first goals of the season.
The Spruce Kings took the 2-1 lead into the third.
The Silverbacks sent their 1,503 fans at the Shaw Centre home happy, scoring three goals to complete the comeback.
The Spruce Kings mustered just three shots on goal in the final frame, while the Silverbacks put 18 on Marcus Ouelett in the period.
The Silverbacks outshot the Spruce Kings 44-20 in the game.
The Spruce Kings (3-7-3-0) are at the bottom of the BCHL’s Interior Division standings, tied for the Cranbrook Bucks (4-11-1-0) with just nine points each.

The Spruce Kings will return to the Kopar Memorial Arena for a three-game homestand, starting on Friday against the West Kelowna Warriors.
