Parks and public washrooms now closed for winter

The City of Prince George has officially started to wrap up the outdoor season for the year.

Multiple city parks and public washrooms are now no longer available to the public, including:

  • Carrie Jane Gray Park – Closed for the year on the evening of Monday, October 30, 2023, reopening Spring 2024.
  • Connaught Hill Park – Closed for the year on the evening of Monday, October 30, 2023, reopening Spring 2024.
  • Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park – Washroom nearest to 17th Avenue and washroom near the Exploration Place will close on Tuesday, October 31.
  • Duchess Park – Playground washroom will close on Tuesday, October 31.
  • Carrie Jane Grey Park – Washroom will close on Tuesday, October 31.
  • Connaught Hill Park – Closed for the year on the evening of Monday, October 30, 2023, reopening Spring 2024.
  • Rainbow Park – Closed for the year on the evening of Monday, October 30, 2023, reopening Spring 2024.

Nechako Riverside park will be considered closed once snow falls.

The track at Masich Place has shut down as well, walking inside the CN Centre re-opened to the public last week.

Events are booked at Masich place until November 18th, after which it will also close for the winter.
