The Prince George Spruce Kings made a pair of mid-week roster moves.
The BCHL club added forward Lucas Veilleux. The 18-year-old from Ottawa, Ontario, started the season with the Sherwood Park Crusaders of the AJHL.
Prior to that, Veilleux spent two years with St. Andrew’s College. In 93 games he scored 31 goals and 79 points.
“Lucas is a young player with good size who plays the game hard,” said General Manager Mike Hawes.
“He has good offensive abilities and will contribute in all facets of the game. We have followed Lucas
Closely for the past couple of seasons. We are thrilled that he’s joining us.”
Veilleux is also committed to Colgate University.
In another move, the Spruce Kings have traded forward Dylan Wegner (04) to the Merritt
Centennials in exchange for future considerations.
The Nashville, Tennessee native, played two games with the Spruce Kings this season and had yet to
record a point.
