Building lull in Prince George continued in August

The building lull continues in Prince George.

August’s building permit numbers were presented to Prince George City Council on Monday.

Last month the city saw a total of 49 building permits doled out, for a combined total of $9.7 million.

In August 2022, the city had 41 permits issued worth $12.4 million.

Last month, nine permits worth a combined $5 million were issued for new single family dwellings, and three permits worth $998,400 for new duplexes were issued.

As of the end of August, the City had issued 269 building permits worth a combined total of $90.9 million.

From January to August in 2022, 329 permits worth $187.2 million were issued.
