Prince George High Jumper Alyx Treasure took part in her competition at the Pan Am games on Wednesday.
Treasure jumped to a 7th place finish out of 16 in her field, and was underwhelmed by her performance.
While not making any excuses, she says the season did take its toll:
“I think I was as prepared for the meet as I possibly could be. It was a rough season for me, and it being this far into the Summer and me being away from my coach and having to stay in Canada was definitely difficult for me.”
Next year is an Olympic year, and Treasure says its perhaps the biggest opportunity of her career.
Also mentioning that she will now be taking the time to recuperate, rest and re-focus.
