2015 Road rehab pushes Vanderhoof ahead in its 5 year plan

Vanderhoof roads have received a makeover this year.

Mayor Gerry Thiessen says they have spent around $350,000 on paving, with another $350,000 allocated to seal coating:

“We’ve paved 9 streets in our community, so we are a good year and maybe a little bit more on our 5 year plan, ahead of where we wanted to be with paving”

Thiessen says 3rd and 4th street were particular areas of focus, and he also says plans to replace the water tower are still in motion.

However, that has been slightly pushed back as they await grant funding acceptance from the government.
