The RCMP’s Underwater Recovery Team has located two bodies from a vehicle in Gravel Pit Lake.
Just before four p.m. Sunday RCMP recovered the bodies of a deceased man and woman who were in the vehicle.
RCMP are now working with the BC Coroners Service.
Corporal Craig Douglass says at four am, RCMP along with Beaverly Fire Department and BC Ambulance Service were called out to the lake 42 kilometres west of Prince George after a report of a vehicle in the lake.
Douglass says underwater cameras from Prince George Search and Rescue were used to locate the vehicle.
He says anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact RCMP.
