Cougars to open training camp August 30th

After being eliminated in the second round of the 2023 WHL Playoffs, the Prince George Cougars will return to the ice in a week.

The WHL club’s training camp opens on Wednesday, August 30th, culminating on the evening
of Sunday September 3rd, with the Cougars annual Intrasquad Game.

Training Camp rosters will be comprised of returning players, prospects, and free agent invites
who will be grouped into four teams: (Dustin) Byfuglien, (Zdeno) Chara, (Chris) Mason, and
(Brett) Connolly.

In addition, the Cougars’ “Prospects Showcase” game highlights day two as Team
Souray battles Team Boogaard at 6:00 PM on August 31st.

The two rosters will consist of listed prospects and free agent invites aged 15-17 years old.

All scrimmages and ice times are at the CN Centre and are open to the public:
