CITY OF PG LIFTS RECREATIONAL FIRE BAN

People craving a camp fire in Prince George can do son thanks to the City of Prince George lifting it’s recreational fire ban today.

Fire Chief, John Iverson explains the move.

“With recent cool and rainy weather, the risk has dropped significantly for potential wildfire issues in the city so we want get people back to having their recreational fires.”

Recreational fires are permitted in the city as long as you have clean burning wood and there is no air quality advisory.

Iverson reminds people to use their common sense when starting one.
