A Nechako Valley staple event will be taking the year off due to wildfires.
The Nechako Valley Exhibition Grounds has confirmed over a Facebook post that the 55th Annual Exhibition Fall Fair has been cancelled.
The post says the cancellation is “due to safety measures, and providing accommodation for our firefighters who are staying with us while they protect our community and our people.”
The fair is expected to make a full return next year.
Vendors and exhibitors who have paid for their spaces will be contacted by event organizers.
