Monday saw an unusual fall sitting of the BC Legislature.
The meeting was called to debate LNG project agreements between BC and Pacific NorthWest LNG.
Liberal MLA for Prince George – Mackenzie, Mike Morris – had some comments:
“Our government has been able to negotiate this agreement with Pacific NorthWest LNG, during times of historic lows in Natural Gas prices and this company is still willing to invest $36 billion dollars in British Columbia… to assist British Columbia.”
Opposition leaders worry that new laws on the table could prevent future governments from making changes to royalty rates, carbon tax, and natural gas credits.
