PG’s Jared Young homers in Chicago Cubs season debut

Updated 8:11 p.m., Wednesday June 28th:

The 27-year-old Young, the DH, finished the game one-for-two in the batter’s box before being replaced.

The Cubs lost 8-5.

Original Story:

Is there a better way to start the season than with a home run?

In his first at-bat with Chicago Cubs this year, Prince George’s own Jared Young hit a solo home run to right field.

Young’s first career big league homer came on a 94 mph fastball from Aaron Nola.

The Cubs are trailing the Philadelphia Phillies 5-1 at the end of the third inning.

Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
