Canada Day weekend is just around the corner and a jam-packed day at the park is all planned out.
The festivities at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park will start at 11:00 Saturday morning and run until 6:00 in the evening, featuring food, live entertainment, a market, a kids’ zone, cake cutting, and more.
“This is the 50th anniversary of Canada Day with the Multicultural Heritage Society being involved,” Doug Hofstede, a City of Prince George Community Coordinator, told My PG Now in an earlier interview.
“There are going to be a lot of similar things that have proven to be very good over the years,” he said.
“Together we are celebrating a 50-year tradition in the City of Prince George. This is a great accomplishment for our community, and I look forward to welcoming all residents to Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park on July 1,” said Mayor Simon Yu.
A full list of food vendors and an entertainment schedule can be found here.
The annual firework show on Connaught Hill has been cancelled due to fire bans.
