Effective at 5pm on Friday evening, the City of Prince George will lift it’s enhanced water restrictions from earlier this week.
Supervisor, Gina Layne-Liston says they’ve seen enough of a decrease in usage since 62 million litres was pumped at a city well on Monday.
“Down to 29 million litres on Wednesday, a little bit back up at 33 million yesterday (Thursday) so we were looking for a number of days where we were looking to get back to average numbers.”
Regular water restrictions will come back into effect.
They include no sprinkling between noon and 5pm daily, with sprinkling for even houses on even days, and odd number houses on odd days.
The fine for a sprinkler violation is $50, and regular water restrictions are in effect 365 days a year.
