Motorists travelling on Highway 97 near the Highway 39 junction between Bear Lake and Whiskers Point will encounters some delays.
District Operations Manager for Fort George, Greg Bruce says construction shouldn’t last too long.
“Will be single lane alternating traffic through there, will have that project start tomorrow (11th)and work will be going on for three weeks on that section of the road.”
Construction crews are also working on a portion of Highway 16 just west of Prince George on Telichick Road.
Bruce says traffic should not be affected too much.
“For the most part two lane traffic will be accommodated most times and that’s an addition of a passing lane to Highway 16, what we’re trying to do is to enhance mobility and safety by giving motorists an opportunity to pass slower vehicles.”
Drivers are asked to reduce their speed when entering an orange zone.
